This study shows the effects of Galileo Therapy on muscle function and quality of life in a nursing home community (2x1 min. 10Hz, 2x1 min. 26Hz, 3/week, 6 weeks). Both groups received additional 3*10 min. per week physiotherapy (gait, balance, strength). The Galileo Therapy group showed significantly higher improvements in all tested aspects than the control group (about +40% on average).
Galileo Research Facts No. 41: Is Galileo Therapy + squats more demanding for COPD patients than squats only?
This study tested the effects of Galileo Therapy + squats vs. squats only on the cardiopulmonary response in COPD patients (Stage III+IV) (1-3 min. 90° flexion, dynamic squats, with and without Galileo, 26Hz, pos. 2,5). Exercises including Galileo had a tendency so show an even decreased cardiopulmonary response (less deman-ding) even though they had a significantly higher therapy effect on muscle function and power (#GRFS32, 34)...
Galileo Research Facts No. 40: Can Galileo Therapy reduce spasticity and increase grip strength in Stroke patients?
This study reports the effects of Galileo Therapy on spasticity (Stretching of hands with Galileo Med S Delta Table, 30 min., 5-15Hz, 3/week, 4 weeks). 3 groups: Std. therapy (60min.), std. therapy + Galileo (30+30min.) Galileo + Task Related Training (TRT) (30+30min.). The Galileo group showed significantly increased results compared to control, the combination of Galileo and TRT further increased effects by an average of 25%...
Galileo Research Facts No. 37: Can 60 seconds of Galileo Therapy reduce Spinal Excitability significantly?
This study examined the short-term effect of Galileo Therapy on Spinal Excitability which is the sensitivity of the stretch reflex to a defined external stimulus (1 Min., 22Hz, pos. 2, 30° flexed knee). There is an obvious decrease of 60% during the Galileo Therapy and even 10 minutes after the training still a decrease of over 25%. This effect is one of the main reasons why Galileo Therapy is effective in reduction of Spasticity...
Galileo Research Facts No. 36: Can Galileo Therapy improve muscle function in patients with chemotherapy-related Neuropathy?
This study shows the effect of Galileo Therapy on pain and muscle function in patients with Neuropathy due to chemotherapy (15 weeks, 1/week, 3x3min.,10-13 warm-up lying, 19-23Hz standing, 9-30Hz cool-down at 30° tilt). Both groups received 60 min. massage and mobilization plus 15 minutes functional training. The Galileo Therapy group showed increased improvements in muscle function measured by chair rising time...
Galileo Research Facts No. 34: Can Galileo Therapy increase power in patients with acute COPD exacerbations?
This study tested the effect of Galileo Therapy on muscle function and power in patients with acute COPD (exacerbations) (20Hz, pos. 2, 3*2 min., 5/week, 2-3 weeks, bent knees). Both groups received standard physiotherapy (20 min/day), the Galileo group additional Galileo Therapy (3*2 min.). The Galileo group showed significantly higher results than the reference group with an increase in the 6. min. walking test of 57%...
Galileo Research Facts No. 32: Can Galileo Therapy increase muscle function in COPD patients within just 3 weeks?
This study tested the effects of Galileo Therapy in COPD in-patients on muscle function and muscle power (24-26Hz, pos. 3, squatting exercises, 3x3 min., 5/week, 3 weeks). Both groups received conventional strength and endurance training (30 Minutes per session) and additionally 3x3 minutes squat exercises with and without Galileo. The Galileo group showed significantly higher therapy effects of up to extra 100%...

This study tested the effects of Galileo Therapy in COPD patients after a lung transplant on muscle function and muscle power (24-26Hz, pos. 3, squats, 3x2 Min., 3/week, 4 weeks). Both groups received conventional strength and endurance training (30 Minutes per session) and additionally 3x2 minutes squat exercises with and without Galileo. The Galileo group showed significantly higher therapy effects of up to extra 150%...
Galileo Research Facts No. 30: Can Galileo Training in children with Cerebaral Palsy (CP) build up muscle and improve gait within just 8 weeks?
This study showed the effect of Galileo Therapy on muscle thickness and gait parameters in children with CP (Cerebral Palsy) (5-25Hz, pos.1-3, 6 Sets, 3 min. each, 3/week, over 8 week, increasing intensity). Both groups received regular physiotherapy, the control group additional physiotherapy. The conventional physiotherapy however was only able to stabilize conditions while the Galileo group improved significantly in just 8 weeks...
Galileo Research Facts No. 25: Can 15 minutes Galileo Therapy per week decrease back-pain effectively?
This study tested the effect of Galileo Therapy on subjective back-pain (18 Hz, position 3, 7 minutes, 2/week, 12 weeks, hip-tilting in standing). The control group performed lumbar extension exercises, sit-ups and Leg-Press on different exercise-devices. Galileo Therapy reduced the subjective back-pain by 67% (Visual Analog Scale, P-VAS). The control group showed comparable results but needed much more time.
